CMAS Contract

What It Is

The CALIFORNIA MULTIPLE AWARD SCHEDULE (CMAS) program was established in response to Assembly Bill 1727, which was signed into law in October 1993. The CMAS program provides client agencies with an easy and value effective procurement vehicle, for both information technology and commodity products and services. California state and local government agencies have the flexibility to choose a product or service according to their business needs, such as price, warranty, supplier performance or brand name.

Contract Info

The CMAS Unit establishes agreements with those manufacturers/suppliers that offer products and/or services which are currently on an existing multiple award schedule with the Federal General Services Administration (GSA) or other approved multiple award contract.

User Benefits

CMAS makes it possible for governments to acquire specialized, rugged computer laptops and handhelds for use in demanding environments. This allows governments to do what they need to better and at a lower price point because CMAS products and suppliers are already approved by GSA. In addition, governments can do it faster because no RFP or bid is required thus saving valuable time and money in the procurement process. Lastly, governments can do it cheaper because GSA has already negotiated excellent prices which are passed on in CMAS contracts.
